The Rap Game Season Winner
Let's just say Jermaine has an incredible work ethic. Jermaine is the hardest worker I've ever encountered. He always instilled in us a sense of humility. He constantly stated, "No matter how large you think you are [or] how far you think you've come, you still have to work like you're losing." That was perhaps the most essential lesson I took away from the entire thing. The Rap Game has been renewed for a second season by Lifetime.
Rapper Nova was declared The Rap Game's season 3 grand victor, but there are two more hip-hop aspirants that need more screen time. The music bootcamp-style reality program finished its highest-rated season in tremendous fashion this past Friday (April 7). Timbaland Could Be Coming To A Lifetime Network Near You
It's fair to say the competition was fierce, and when it came down to the final, all five candidates had everything to play for. After months of hard effort and severe trials, Leeds Rapper Graft deservingly took the championship, knocking out the other top three competitors Zones and Lesha. Graft started the show on a sour note, with judge and UK rap legend Konan calling him out in the early stages of the competition, saying he was 'on the bench,' alluding to Graft's background as a former professional footballer and implying he was yet to be seen as a worthy candidate in the competition. Graft, on the other hand, quickly upped his game, demonstrating to not just Konan, but also to all of the judges and his other competitors, that he was very much 'on the field' and a force to be reckoned with. Graft has been continuously at the top of the rankings each week, showcasing his abilities not just lyrically but also performance wise, and with a great performance in the final (much complimented by Kenny Allstar), it's no wonder that he was declared season champion.

Although VIBE faves Deetranada and J.I. (Prince of NY) did not do as well as we had anticipated, their recent visit to our New York City offices convinced us that the East Coast is in excellent hands. Both youngsters, who are from Baltimore and Brooklyn, take pleasure in their lyrical sharpness. Jermaine Dupri and the future of So So Def entered our studio 24 hours before the show's climax for a live interview session that culminated with some slick freestyles.

Tyeler Reign tells HipHopDX, "When I received the call, it was crazy." The first thing I did was yell and weep, and then I praised God. I had worked so hard in my life to reach to this point in my life, and this was yet another stepping stone in my testimony. Tyler had always been the pick of the litter. I had to be myself and not try to fit in. I had to show off my many flows, stage presence, work ethic, and make sure I was always ready so I didn't have to get ready. Tyeler Reigns' mother, London, who also played an important role in the Lifetime program, worked with daughter every week (showing harsh love) and had no tolerance for mediocrity.
