After a few of hiccups, things were looking good. I often stay at Motel 6 and do not expect elegance. I'd booked a reservation, and my family and I arrived at 4:00 p.m., exhausted, hot, and irritable after a long day. I was assured that the room will be ready in 15 minutes. We waited a few moments before they decided to move us to another room. Yay! We moved everything in, only to find that the toilet would not flush. When I called, I was relocated to another room. We opted to make do with three hand towels and one bath towel in this room. Now, about that one star... I had reserved the accommodation with my credit card, but when I arrived, I informed them I wanted to pay with my debit card. This is something I often do while making online bookings for accommodations, rental cards, and so on. "No worries," they said. My debit card has been charged. Then I opened my credit card statement today and saw that it had also been charged. One night's stay costs $150 in total. I'm having a disagreement with my credit card company.

From the outside, this property does not seem to be that awful. It's a different story once you're inside. I was exhausted when I checked in about midnight, grateful to have secured a place after the reservation I'd made at another neighboring hotel had been canceled. I should have continued driving. My first clue was the suspicious folks loitering in the parking lot late at night, working on their automobile. Because we were close to the business, I assumed my daughter and I would be OK, and I hoped our automobile would be as well. I had regrets the moment we walked into the room. It was utterly FILTHY. There were stains on my daughter's comforter, as well as hairs and other stains on the sheets. The floor was so dirty that my socks were soiled in no time. It became much worse when I went to take a shower. There were a number of them.
