- pets up to 25 pounds allowed, 2 pets per room, $10 per night cost for each pet "The hotel did not seem to be inviting. The walkway was filthy, the walls required repainting, and the toilet stank. We wanted to leave but were offered another room that seemed OK. The bed was comfy, but I wouldn't even touch the TV remote since it was so filthy. The owner spent the whole day in his pyjamas. By one of the rooms, there was a supermarket cart. Stay away from here. 2017-10-16" < Hide

It was OK; I'd been there previously. The rooms are simple, but I enjoy how they are laid up. I brought my own cleaning wipes and cleaned everything off. The wooden chair at my room's table was filthy from years of usage, but I wouldn't have used it regardless. Aside from that, the room seemed to be tidy. I went there to attend a dog show nearby, so there were many people from out of state who were staying there with their dogs. I honestly don't believe I would have felt secure staying alone there if I had been traveling at another time. If you're going with your dog, the only green space is a little lot behind the first building; everything else is a parking lot. Because it was so awful, I only let my dog use it twice. Every night, you may go over to Handel's ice cream, which is the highlight of this hotel. The owner/manager of the hotel seems to be wonderful. One of the lobby attendants seemed irritable, but the others were kind.

Motel 6 Youngstown Ohio
I've stayed at this place twice; the first time was uneventful, however the room was not well cleaned. I would mention that the personnel is constantly pleasant. My second visit was just a week ago, and I awoke with bed bug bites that increased dramatically within an hour of checking out. I followed up (as did my mother, whom I was visiting), but there was no resolution. Before going to California, I had bites all over my body and had to disinfect my bags and rewash everything I packed. What was the reaction? There was no reimbursement, which I asked, and nothing more than admission that the stay fell short of acceptable expectations and that preventative steps were being implemented. True, but this was very unacceptable, and I should not have had to push this to corporate headquarters in order to get a reimbursement. That is simple logic and good business practice. I will never stay here again, nor would I suggest this specific site.

When you arrive, there is a notice on the front desk informing you that the internet is not working. The clerk said it was rectified, but you never know. The sign seems to be permanent. We were brought up to our room. In the parking lot, clothes were drying on trees. It seems that there are permanent inhabitants here. Guy on the balcony of our room 12 pack of beer, 3 empty cans, and no shirtl It seemed like he was homeless. The room did not have WiFi. I needed wifi for work. Back to the front desk. There is no reimbursement. I've been there for ten minutes. She said that the internet was restored, but she maintains a note on her desk just in case. Home. Permanent indication. Stay away from here. The surrounding neighborhood was shady, and I believe our vehicle would have been broken into anyway. My stay cost me more than ten dollars each minute. I will encourage everyone of my contacts to never set foot in this location. Continue reading

Remember when Tom Bodett used to say that Motel 6s were "a touch more expensive than others but..." Those days are long gone; the "no frills" room design is still available, but Motel 6 is no longer a good option for a fast overnight stay. After overpaying the night before, I was enticed by the $49.99 highway sign, which was only a price point promise. The greatest thing I can say about this establishment is that the desk receptionist was really polite and courteous, particularly since there were some tough types residing in the rear building. Fortunately, he didn't put me in there!
